Greenhouse plant gutters like the other gutters contain 4 main tasks:

  • Nutrition storage.
  • Keeping water and access to it.
  • Gas exchange between root and atmosphere.
  • Placing the plants.
  • Gutters are made of soil, mineral and organic substances.

organic substance includes different kinds of peat (humus, peat moss, coco peat) trees bark, peat, animal fertilizer.

mineral substances include (perlite, vermiculite, stone wool, pumice)
